Android App: NASA
The Official NASA App for Android
If you are a space buff, a future astronaut, or just love images from or about space, this is a must-have app. It's free, of course (not counting tax dollars that you may have already paid), and the app's main menu lists Missions, Images, Videos, Tweets, TV& Radio, News & Features, Centers, Featured, and Programs.
Most of those should be self-explanatory, but Centers takes you to a (Google) world map that well help you locate the NASA centers and also show your own current location. This can be handy if you are trying to visit one of the NASA Centers, for example.
Featured will take to to a list offering a curated view of articles pertaining to current missions. It would be easy to lose yourself for hours, admiring the graphics and reading the text here.
The Official NASA App is free.
Definitely a five-star experience.

Android App: Ultimate Rotation Control
Play Store Link
Ultimate Rotation Control allows you to set screen orientation for each app, for all apps, or lock in a particular orientation (which is what I need for the apc.io hooked up to an HDTV).
There's a 7-day free trial, and it's $2.99 for a full license (Which I am going to go buy right now).
Five stars!

Android App: Wallpaper Wizardrii
Play Store link
I've been looking for something that would let me set HD jpegs as my wallpaper, without requiring me to go through a lot of nonsense with accessing Web sites while making the selection, or flooding me with ads to the point that I couldn't see my jpegs. I've installed Wallpaper Wizardrii on my apc.io (which Market calls "Unknown Generic") and I can now use my own pictures as wallpaper. I choose a jpeg, set as "stretch landscape" and I get the entire pic in full HD. Love it! I would pay for this app.
